What We Offer

Comprehensive Vision & Eye Health Examinations

An eye exam is more than just checking for a prescription for glasses. We check your visual acuity, determine what glasses or contact lens prescription will best fit your personal needs, and assess the ocular health of the eyes. A thorough eye examination can also detect the first signs of a number of systemic diseases, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Diagnosis & Management Of Ocular Disease

At MediVision we specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of many ocular diseases – From diseases as simple as viral conjunctivitis to more complex and visually-devastating diseases such as age-related macular degeneration.

Glaucoma Testing, Evaluation & Treatment

Glaucoma is a disease process where the eye’s optic nerve is gradually damaged, usually due to increased pressure in the eye. In 2010, the number of Americans diagnosed with glaucoma was approximately 2.7 million people. That number is expected to be over 6 million by 2050. We routinely test, diagnose and treat a large number of these patients at our office. During a comprehensive eye exam, we can determine if you have, or at risk for, glaucomatous disease.

Refractive Surgery Evaluations

Patients interested in laser vision surgery to correct their vision – such as LASIK or other similar procedures – can be evaluated at our office for potential candidacy. We also work hand-in-hand with several eye surgeons to provide pre- and post-operative care following surgery.

Cataract Consultations, Pre- & Post-Operative Care

“Cloudy” or “less vibrant” vision can be the first sign of the development of cataracts, a clouding of the natural intraocular lens. Our doctors will be able to determine what level cataract you have, if any, and discuss the possibility of cataract surgery. We are also proud to have Dr. Jay Montgomery and Dr. Keith Riddle of Clemson Eye provide cataract consultations in our office for any patients found to be good candidates for cataract extraction surgery.

Dry Eye Evaluation & Treatment

Persistent scratchy, gritty, or watery eyes are usually the first signs of dry eye syndrome. We work with patients to test for and treat the symptoms of dry eyes using a variety of treatment options, from simple artificial tear supplementation to more advanced treatment options such as amniotic membranes.

Eyeglass Prescriptions

Our doctors will determine the proper glasses prescription for your needs, and then our expert optical staff will be able to assist you in finding the perfect frame for your prescription, style & face. We have a wide selection of frames to suit any style or budget.

Eyeglass Repairs & Adjustments

Our optical staff can expertly adjust your frame to fit your face – so if it’s too tight, too loose, or crooked, please let us know! We can also attempt to repair broken frames in our office. Unfortunately, some may be beyond our repair, but we would be happy to take a look at any broken or damaged eyeglasses.

Contact Lens Fits, Evaluations, Training & Sales

Contact lenses can be a great option for patients who are tired of wearing glasses or just want to try something new. Our doctors will determine the best prescription and contact lens for your eyes. Our staff also provides training on the insertion & removal of contacts for those patients who have tried contact lenses in the past. Patients needing to reorder their contact lenses through our office can also use our online store!
